September 2020 GO POLL The pandemic has spurred the growth of virtual conferences and trade shows. Many encourage networking and are interactive, even allowing for the virtual attendee to get involved in Q&A sessions. What do you think about virtual events?I don't think virtual events work as well. I much prefer interacting with other conference attendees and discussing topics face-to-face vs. downloading content and visiting virtual exhibits.I am all in favor of attending events from the comfort of home -- I find them just as rewarding as being onsite.I prefer in-person events, but I will feel safer continuing to attend virtually, if the option remains when in-person conferences are re-established.I haven't gotten as much value out of virtual events as I'd hoped, but it's a brave new world, so I'm willing to see if/how they improve.Vote
